SHRIMP steht für “Social Hypertext Reader & Interactive Mapping Platform”. Ziel des SHRIMP-Experiments ist es, die Potenziale von nicht-linearem Text in einer kollaborativen Online-Lernsituation zu untersuchen und zu entwickeln. Mit SHRIMP wollen wir ein zeitgemäßes Medium schaffen, das einen individuellen, kreativen Leseprozess ermöglicht und gemeinschaftliches Lernen fördert; es soll die Hochschullehre besonders in den Geisteswissenschaften bereichern.

Das SHRIMP-Team des Instituts für Amerikanistik lädt interessierte Lehrende ein, die Lehr-Lern-Plattform SHRIMP_PODS im kommenden Sommersemester im Rahmen eines Testlaufs in der Lehre einzusetzen. Um die Plattform kennenzulernen und ihre didaktischen Möglichkeiten auszuprobieren, bieten wir einen Workshop an.

Wir freuen uns: Mit SHRIMP_PODS geht das Projekt SHRIMP in eine neue Projektphase. In den nächsten zwei Jahren entwickeln wir mit SHRIMP_PODS eine Plattform für vor allem geisteswissenschaftliches, kollaboratives Arbeiten im digitalen Raum.

<p>Abbott talks about this aspect when discussing the difference between story and discourse. Basically, for a close reading, we especially have to pay attention to the (narrative) discourse, recognizing HOW the text is being told and then asking ourselves WHY it is being told in this way--i.e., what the effects of this particular way of telling it are.</p>
